Rich text editor (RTE) | Right Decisions

The rich text editor enables you to edit and format content on any page of your toolkit. The rich text editor appears at the top of each area of the content management system where you enter or edit content. It provides the toolbar illustrated below.

The tools within the rich text editor offer the following functions:

	View Source Code Used to view the HTML/ CSS code of your page.
	Clear Formatting
	Undo/ Redo Used to undo/ redo the last action.
	Cut Can also use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X.
	Copy Can also use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C.
	Paste Can also use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V.
	Text Formats Provides a set list of text formatting options.
	Bold Text (Example)
	Italicise Text (Example)
	Underline Text (Example)
	Strike-through Text (Example)
	Left-align, Centre-align, Right-align or Justify Text
	Bullet-point/ Numbered List Use the downward arrow to select options.
	Decrease/ Increase Text Indent.
	Add/ Remove Link Used to link to external webpages, internal toolkit pages or media.

	Insert Macro - use to insert any of the suite of calculators created by the Right Decision Service.
	Table Used to insert and modify tables. For more information see here.
	Embed Used to embed external content (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo videos).
	Insert horizontal line
	Subscript/ Superscript
	Insert special character
	Right to left/ Left to right Used to change the direction of text.
