Navigation panel
On the left-hand side of the content management system screen, you will see the navigation panel This shows a list of all of the toolkits to which you currently have access, as well as their internal structure.
Unpublished toolkits will appear in a greyed out font, while published toolkits will appear as black text.
Toolkit structure
Within your toolkit, you will create sections or "nodes" to deliver your content within an organised hierarchical structure. Each section created at the top toolkit level is represented by a tile on the toolkit homepage. Within these top level sections you can then create subpages which you can choose to display or hide as you work, they will be indented to show they are nested content within the parent section.
Using the left hand button of the mouse to click the ... symbol next to a given toolkit or section heading will produce a list of page types which can be created below the selected item. More information on these page types is provided in the following section, under the heading "Adding toolkit pages".
You can manage these sub-pages by using the right-hand mouse button to click on the ... symbol:
The most useful menu items when you are just starting out are: Create, Delete, Move, Copy and Sort.
Move opens a window which shows the navigation structure of your toolkit. Click on the new chosen position for the content element you have selected. A tick appears , click move (or cancel).
Copy will make a new version of your current page (it shows up with a border around it), click that (a tick appears) and you can then move it to a new position using Move.
To Sort, you can either click on the "Name" heading to sort the items beneath it alphabetically (click again for reverse alphabetical order), or click on the "Creation date" heading to sort by date, or drag each page into a chosen position. Remember to click Save when you are done.
TIP
You may find keeping most of the parent nodes closed whilst you are working on one section. The with nested content have a small side-pointing arrow next to them, the node you are currently in has a downward pointing arrow, and the section you are in is highlighted in pale pink.
