"Information given on this site is not meant to take the place of a talk with your doctor or health worker."
Your examination (test) has to be interpreted by either a Radiologist (doctor) or a Radiographer (trained in
performing and interpreting your test).
The aim is to report on the results of all tests within two weeks.
The results will be sent to the doctor who asked for the examination.
- if this was your GP, the report should be available to them electronically (on the computer at the Health Centre) The Radiographer who performed your imaging will let you know how long the report will take to get to your GP.
- if this was a doctor that you saw in the hospital or clinic he or she will get the result . The hospital doctor will
have told you how you will receive this result. - the doctor who sent you for the test may have made special arrangements for the result. He or she will let
you know how and when you will get your results. - the results may show that you need another test. If so, this may be planned for you by the Radiology (X-Ray)
department.
- you would be offered an appointment for the test by post
- your doctor would be told of the further test
- you would be able to discuss the test with your doctor
If you have any concerns about any of the points above please phone the Radiology department ( tel:01896 826417) between 9am and 5pm.
