If a patient is unable to meet their nutritional requirements through diet alone or is unable to eat, then enteral feeding may be recommended. This may be nasogastric (NG), percutaneous (PEG) or jejunostomy feeding. There are a number of nutritionally complete feeds available and the dietitian will recommend a feed most suitable to meet the patient’s nutritional requirements. BNF Link: Enteral Nutrition
