In pregnancy or breastfeeding: azithromycin is the most effective option but is an unlicensed indication.
Doxycycline is contraindicated in pregnancy.

First Line
Doxycycline
(not suitable for those under 12 years)
100mg 2 x daily
for 7 days
Alternative
Azithromycin
1g single dose (1 hour before or 2 hours after food)
followed by 500mg daily for a further 2 days
