HIV Care referral pathway

HIV is a long term health condition, managed within the Highland Sexual Health service by a team of specialist clinicians, including 4 medical consultants, an HIV specialist nurse and an HIV specialist pharmacist. While the incidence of new HIV diagnoses is reducing each year, we do still see a few new diagnoses each year in Highland. More commonly people living with HIV move to the area from other parts of the UK or abroad, and require referral for on-going HIV care. We aim to care for patients holistically, and in collaboration with primary care clinicians.
