Raised Inflammatory Markers Or Positive Rheumatoid Factor

Rheumatoid factor positive in 4% of young health individuals and 3-25% of elderly.

The higher the titre, the lower the false positive rate.

Elevated inflammatory markers seen with any chronic inflammatory condition, acute inflammation / infection, obesity, cigarette smoking, low levels of physical activity, chronic fatigue.
