HALOPERIDOL

Formulation:

Tablets 1·5mg, 5mg, 10mg

Dosage:

500 micrograms to 1·5mg 3 times daily adjusted according to response. 10mg daily may occasionally be required in Tourette syndrome.

Formulation:

Tablets 25mg

Dosage:

Movement disorders, initially 12·5mg twice daily (older patients 12·5mg daily) gradually increased to 12·5mg to 25mg 3 times daily; maximum 200mg daily.  Moderate to severe tardive dyskinesia, initially 12·5mg daily; gradually increased according to response.
