How do I get my child referred for consideration for SDR surgery?

How do I know if my child is eligible for surgery?

Your child can be considered for surgery if they have Cerebral Palsy and both their legs are affected by spasticity which makes them uncomfortable, painful, or if they struggle to engage with movement.  

What should I do if I would like my child referred for SDR surgery?

Please speak to your local community physiotherapist or neurologist if you would like to be referred to the service.

Where can I go for further advice?

Your local community physiotherapist is the best point of contact for further advice on the referral process or whether your child is eligible for surgery however if you have further questions there is lots of information available on this site as well as leaflets to download.
