Support staff will also need to receive training in managing allergic reactions – this is a priority for ALL school staff.
The EAACI recommends that face-to-face training is completed annually by a trained professional and refresher online training completed every 6-months.
Where in-house training may not be available, staff should complete e-training courses such as:

Designed to ensure all school staff can recognise the signs of a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) and have the confidence to safely manage pupils with allergies.
Online Allergy Training | Food Standards Scotland
This training would benefit any staff members, particularly in the prevention of allergic reactions. Completion also counts towards CPD.
Training arrangements should be clearly outlined in the school’s allergy management policy.
