Study population:

Patients with severe heart failure NYHA IV   LVEF < 0.25 (despite appropriate conventional therapy)

Comments:

Mean age of patients was 63 years.

Conventional therapy included diuretics and an ACEI or ARB.  97% of patients were already on an ACE inhibitor or ARB.
