What is Enalapril? (Innovace, Innozide)

  • Enalapril is used to treat high blood pressure or heart failure, or to protect your heart from further damage after a heart attack.
  • It widens your blood vessels and makes your kidneys push less water back into your blood. These actions help to decrease blood pressure
  • Enalapril is one of a family of medicines called Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACE Inhibitors). They are called this because they achieve their effect on your blood vessels by blocking the action of a chemical called Angiotensin Converting Enzyme.

What are the possible risks of taking Enalapril?

You can discuss with your health professional  the possible side effects and other risks Enalapril might have.

Side-effects are unwanted affects that can happen to your body when taking a medicine.
