People who have kidney transplant surgery in NHSGGC are provided with a Phil booklet. In the ‘other information’ section of this booklet, there is advice on diet after transplant. This includes advice on avoiding foods with potentially higher levels of bacteria for 6 months after transplant (due to the infection risk). In the long term after transplant a healthy diet is recommended, guidance on this can be found in the Eat Well Guide: Eatwell Guide - Food and nutrition (nhsinform.scot)
