The GGC Medicines App is an easy-to-use interactive App offering healthcare professionals in NHSGGC convenient and fast access to:
- Guidance contained within the GGC Adult Therapeutics Handbook
- GGC gentamicin, vancomycin and creatinine clearance adult calculators
- Medicines Update Blogs
- GGC Adult Medicines Formulary
To comply with Medical Device regulations, on installing the app and running for the first time, users will be asked to enter a username and password. Log in details for NHSGGC staff are available via the Clinical Information icon on GGC desktops.
GGC Adult Therapeutics Handbook
This is a well-established aid for prescribers in the immediate management of more than 150 common medical conditions. Information regarding the assessment, monitoring and management of an acute condition is provided in a clear, concise and user-friendly format.
GGC gentamicin, vancomycin and creatinine clearance adult calculators
On the move access to enable calculation of renal function and individualised initial doses of gentamicin and vancomycin.
Medicines Update Blogs
Keep abreast of current topical issues about medicines on themes such as patient safety, cost efficiencies and changes in practice including formulary and guideline updates. Blog series are available on the safe use of insulin, opioids and direct oral anticoagulants.
