Content management and governance

Authorship: This guideline was written by the NHS Lothian Diabetes and Endocrinology teams. The guidelines are in line with existing national guidance and NHS Lothian policy.

 

Review and Approval: 

Content has been reviewed and approved by the Edinburgh Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology clinical group.

The content will be considered for update 2 years from publication. Any minor updates brought to the  attention will be dealt with on an "as needed" basis.

Content updates on the Right Decisions platform will be carried out by the the NHS Lothian Diabetes and Endocrinology team, with support from the Right Decision Service team when required.

RDS automated alerts when review is due will be sent to sheila.grecian@nhs.scot.

Amendments will be developed by a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, subject to peer review, and signed off by the NHS Lothian Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinical Team.

Any messages received through the RDS Feedback form will also be forwarded to the NHS Lothian Diabetes and Endocrinology team.

The NHS Lothian Diabetes and Endocrinology team will address the feedback. 

Risk Assessment

The toolkit has been risk assessed, and mitigations put in place where required.

User Testing

These guidelines were reviewed by end users both within speciality and non-speciality doctors with feedback collated and acted on prior to release. Ongoing review of user feedback will continue.
