Spiritual Care Team

The Spiritual Care Team is here for you. We are here to support patients, relatives, visitors and staff in the context of illness, injury or loss.

We offer compassionate, person-centred care, and this service is available to the whole hospital community – people of all backgrounds, faiths and belief groups and none.

The Spiritual Care Team can support you if you are:

  • Feeling anxious, worried or afraid
  • Dealing with a new diagnosis or difficult news
  • Undergoing or recovering from surgery
  • Needing support with your faith or values
  • Coping with loss and bereavement
  • Trying to make sense of your situation
  • Simply in need of someone to listen sensitively to all you are dealing with

The GGC spiritual care service runs an on-call service for all hospitals in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Region every day of the year from 9am-10pm, accessible through calling Switchboard and asking to be put through to the 'On-Call Healthcare Chaplain' for the hospital concerned.

RHC Sanctuary

The Sanctuary in the Children's Hospital is just beyond Clinic 5 on the ground floor.

The Sanctuary offers a place for peace and contemplation to sick children and their families. You might be looking for a quiet space, a place for reflection or for a time for prayer and you are very welcome to drop in and spend time there.
