Review and approval
All content is reviewed regularly and updated with the approval of the relevant clinical staff.
The toolkit authors have endeavoured to ensure that all content complies with relevant copyright legislation.
The evidence that underpins the information and advice given in this toolkit is sourced from published literature.
Full literature searches and reviews were carried out for the guidance in undertaking the referral process for this surgical intervention by the clinical team and this evidence was used for all the leaflets and information provided on the website. This was cross-checked with other health boards offering this service and regular updates of literature are requested to ensure that evidence is up to date.
We encourage users of this toolkit to use our feedback form to highlight any feedback or complaints.
All feedback and complaints will be responded to as quickly as possible.
NHSGGC also has a complaints procedure which can be used.
The toolkit has been risk assessed, and mitigations put in place where required.
This toolkit has been tested for usability by both clinicians and members of the public. Additionally, checks were performed to ensure readability by a general audience.
