Content management and governance

Clinical oversight and responsibility sits with the Infectious Diseases consultant group who meet each week.

Additional content will be overseen by the RIDU Guidelines Group, which reports to the Quality Improvement Team of RIDU (meets quarterly).

The Infectious Diseases department sits with the acute directorate of NHS Lothian. There are currently two governance structures in place - the Policy Oversight Group and the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.

Content review

Each aspect of the toolkit is authored by a clinician and has been reviewed and signed off by the Infectious Diseases consultant group.

The guidelines group within the RIDU will monitor the generic email address and report to the RIDU Quality Improvement Team who will in turn oversee updates or any additional sections that are to be added to the toolkits.
