Diagnosis and presentation

Pain-related temporomandibular disorders (TMD) can impact the individual's daily activities, psychosocial functioning, and quality of life.

Diagnosis of any TMD is derived from assessment of signs and symptoms.

The most widely used diagnostic classification systems is the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD) (http://www.iadr.org/INfORM/DC-TMD )
